What do our Wildlife Field Technician Supervisors do?
The Service Supervisor / Lead Wildlife Technician is responsible for leading field technicians while providing exceptional wildlife removal and exclusion services. This individual serves as the example for professionalism, workmanship, customer service, and company values.
In addition to completing inspections, trapping, exclusions, and repairs, the Service Supervisor coaches technicians, ensures quality standards are met, solves problems in the field, and helps maintain an efficient daily operation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership
Lead and mentor field technicians through training and daily support.
Conduct ride-alongs and field evaluations.
Ensure technicians follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Assist with onboarding and training new technicians.
Provide constructive coaching and recommend additional training when needed.
Help resolve customer concerns professionally.
Lead by example in attitude, professionalism, and work ethic.
Wildlife Service Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wildlife inspections.
Identify entry points and wildlife activity.
Safely trap and remove nuisance wildlife.
Install exclusion materials and perform repairs.
Complete preventative wildlife proofing.
Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
Recommend additional services when appropriate.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards.
Customer Service
Deliver a five-star customer experience on every job.
Clearly explain findings and recommendations.
Educate customers on prevention methods.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and company vehicle.
Build customer confidence through honesty and expertise.
Quality Control
Perform quality inspections on completed jobs.
Verify repairs meet company standards.
Ensure technicians complete required documentation.
Monitor workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Report recurring issues to management.
Operations Support
Assist with scheduling adjustments when necessary.
Help prioritize emergency calls.
Communicate field updates with the office.
Maintain inventory of truck stock and equipment.
Report equipment needs or vehicle issues promptly.
Safety Responsibilities
Follow OSHA and company safety policies.
Wear required PPE.
Operate ladders, lifts, and tools safely.
Handle wildlife humanely and legally.
Maintain a clean driving record.
What do you need?
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years wildlife control experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of wildlife biology and exclusion methods.
- Ability to carry 50 lbs. in a backpack sprayer
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Available to work Monday-Friday and some weekends, as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain mandatory licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass motor vehicle record search
- Must pass pre-employment background screen
