Pest Control Technician - Walking Route
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, but are not limited to:
- Travel to and from appointments to perform inspections and treatments
- Always follow the products label to apply pesticides or non-pesticides safely
- Perform the proper application methods within structures
- Carrying equipment, lifting mattresses, moving furniture, heavy appliances
- Completing all documentation on mobile device and route logs
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in pest control preferred
- More than 1 year of experience in Pest Control
- Good communication skills, both oral and written (bilingual is a plus - Spanish and English)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good client service attitude
- Ability to do physical demands of the job which includes
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly (materials, equipment, etc.)
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit on prolonged periods
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to apply treatments in various areas
- Comfortable to exposure in outdoor condition such as heat, cold, and rain
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills (handling and applying pesticide, etc)
- Must be able to work at heights (roof or attic inspection, removing very high nests, etc)
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and goggles for extended periods.
